The Art of Staying Dry
Most children are frightened
Of monsters or darkness
Of dogs or of storms or of ghosts
But James Daniel Reed
Was an odd one indeed
Water was what he feared most
When it came time to bathe
He would put up a fuss
And delay it for over an hour!
His mother would fret—
He was not even wet!
For his raincoat he wore in the shower
